Join us for a summer filled
with fun, learning and growth!
Camp Speech Zone is a small-group ratio program run by speech therapists and occupational therapists for children who struggle in any of the speech-language, social and/or occupational therapy domains. We provide a fun and engaging camp environment, embedding natural practice individual goals. Throughout the day, our therapists seamlessly weave in opportunities for socialization, improved articulation, vocabulary development, language expansion, lengthening sentences, fine motor development, sensory input etc. Each week is themed to optimize learning and all activities, field trips and special programming are related to that week's theme, making it easier for them to tell parents about their days/week.
We find that children succeed in our program because it acts as a bridge between individual therapy and a larger group setting. We keep our group size small to make sure we can provide in- the-moment assistance to make an interaction successful so that children feel motivated and encouraged to try it again outside of our program! For children who have difficulty with transitions, or maintaining attention/focus (especially in larger group settings), we have built in supports to keep the child attentive during activities so that they get the most out of the experience. It is also a great opportunity to maintain success from therapies during the year to really prepare a child for the next school year.
